  • Service schedule calendar/what day your neighborhood's pick-up day
  • Missed pick-ups
  • Trash or compost cart size changes
  • Damaged trash or compost carts
  • Schedule bulk item pick-up

HOA communities, please call your HOA manager for trash service information

  • Place carts at the curb by 7 am on your scheduled service day
  • Do not overfill your trash cart. The lid must fully close. Cart will not be picked up if lid is not closed
  • Trash bag stickers may be purchased at the City of Lafayette Finance Department for $4 per sticker for bags that won't fit in your cart
  • Trash and compost cart size change requests need to be made 3 business days prior to month end for next month's deployment


Bulk Pickup

Republic Services customers receive a free bulk item pickup once a quarter per calendar year. Service fees apply for additional bulk pick-up service. Bulk pick-up service must be scheduled 24 hours in advance by calling 303-286-2400.

Trash or Compost Cart Size Change

Cart size change requests need to be made 3 business days prior to month end for next month's deployment. Contact Republic Services at 303-286-2400.

Additional Services

Household Hazardous Waste:

Household hazardous waste may be taken to the Hazardous Materials Management Facility 1901c 63rd Street, Boulder. This service is FREE to Lafayette residents with proof of residency. Additional information and a list of accepted items.

Hard-to-Recycle Event:

Lafayette partners with Republic Services to offer an annual hard-to-recycle event in April for residents participating in the City's Three Cart Program. Residents can properly dispose of electronics, plastic film, Styrofoam, household cleaners, and more.

Prescription Medications:

Lafayette Police Department coordinates two prescription drug take back events each year.
