Paws to Read

Overview

Back by popular demand, this fantastic program gives kids the opportunity to sit and enjoy books with a non-judgmental, patient, and non-verbal canine companion. Kids read aloud to a trained, gentle, therapy dog and its owner.

Occasionally the volunteer might assist the reading child with a difficult word, but for the most part their role will be to just sit with the dog and the child. Kids may bring books from home or use the Library’s books.
