File a police report

Call 911 to report an emergency

If you need to report an emergency, call 911. DO NOT use these forms to report an emergency or crime in progress.

Non-emergencies only

Call our Dispatch Center at 303-441-4444 to file a police report over the phone or request an officer to respond to your location.

Online incident reports with no known suspects

Any incident in which there is suspect information cannot be reported online. Online police reports rarely require an officer to contact you directly. However, you will be contacted by the Police Department and provided a case report number.

You can report an incident online for lost property, theft, harassment, or vandalism, in which there are no known suspects.

Non-emergency police reports may also be initiated via email, mail, fax, or counter.

Police mail/counter report

A mail/counter report will result in officer assistance. Mail/counter reports can be submitted either in person (over-the-counter), by email, mail, or fax. Unlike an online police report, an officer will always contact you directly if you submit a mail/counter report.
