Summer Reading
Grades 6-12: 2 hours, once or twice per week (during June 1-July 31): required training on May 17 or May 19 at 4:30pm
- SRP at the Library - help with crafts, answer Summer Reading questions, assist with general Library duties
- SRP at Waneka Lake or LaMont Does Park - help with storytime and crafts, give out books, answer Summer Reading questions
- SRP Playdates at the Library - assist with storytimes (morning shifts only); read and play games with younger kids
This is a great way for teens who love reading to share their enthusiasm with kids, teens, and adults and earn volunteer credit.

Special Events
Grades 6-12
Summer 2022: sign up for one or more opportunities
Special events occur almost every Saturday June and July at 11am or 3pm. Teens help assist our storytellers and performers with songs, activities, and book giveaways.

Maker Buddies
Grades 9-12
Summer 2022: meets in person on Thursdays from June 9-July 21.
Have fun working with older kids to design and create projects in the Makerspace. Apply

Reading Buddies
Grades 7-12
Summer 2022: meets Tuesdays from June 7-July 19
With other teens, you will meet and get matched up with younger kids to read books, play games, make a difference and have fun! You will commit to a specific meeting day/time during one or more 4-6-week sessions during the school year, or for the summer session (June-July). Apply to Teen Team to get started!

Writing Buddies
Grades 8-12
Summer 2022: meets in person on Wednesdays from June 9-July 20
This is a writing mentoring program for kids in grades 3-5, led by volunteer teens. You will meet with other teens and kids to do writing games, share stories, and have fun! You will commit to a specific meeting day/time during the school year, or sign up for the whole summer session. Apply
