Home Modification Grant

Lafayette Senior Services offers grant funds for home accessibility and safety modification projects that enable residents age 55 and up to age in place. The program serves homeowners as well as renters if the landlord contributes. Maximum city contribution is $2,500 and funding is often combined with grants from other sources.

The Process

The Resource Coordinator will conduct a thorough in-home assessment with the resident to determine the full range of existing or potential social, physical, environmental, emotional, and family support needed. The Resource Coordinator will assist the resident with putting needed support in place to ensure that the resident can be self-sufficient once the modification is complete. An application and qualifications are required.
