Overview
The City is seeking residents interested in serving on the Volunteer Firefighters Pension Board. There are currently two openings available.
Members are involved in the evaluation and decision-making process relating to issues that affect the City's Volunteer Firefighters Pension program. They are responsible for the management, administration, use, and disbursement of pension funds as well as supervision and preservation of the pension funds. The Board will advise City Council when necessary. The term limit for this position is two years.

Requirements
Residents interested in being appointed to the Volunteer Firefighters Pension Board must be a registered voter who has resided in Lafayette for one full year. To be considered for appointment, you must include a letter of interest addressed to the Mayor and City Council and complete this application form by July 15.
Meetings
The board meets twice per year and has special meetings when necessary.
