Mental Health & Human Services Advisory Committee

Overview

MHHS Advisory Board recruitment_NF (1)The City has recruited seven Lafayette residents to serve on the new Mental Health and Human Services (MHHS) Grant Program Advisory Committee (Advisory Committee). The Advisory Committee will be responsible for reviewing grant applications and making funding recommendations to City Council. The grants are funded using the 0.1% sales and use tax approved in 2021 to support mental health and human services.

Requirements

Residents interested in being appointed to the Advisory Committee must be a registered voter who has resided in Lafayette for one full year and be in good financial standing with the City. Applications are now closed. 

Advisory Committee Expectations 

  • Attend all regular meetings and review materials as needed prior to the meetings. This could include background informational documents for meeting discussions or multi-page grant applications with supporting documentation.
  • Provide a thoughtful, impartial review of grant funding applications using an online platform.
  • Engage in a respectful, constructive dialogue with other members of the group and City staff. 

Meetings

Due to the limited duration and scope of this committee, the City anticipates meeting with the advisory committee up to six (6) times in the evenings between July and November. The meeting dates are as follows:

Wednesday, July 19
Tuesday, July 25
Monday, September 18
Monday, October 9
Thursday, October 19
Monday, November 13

Location: Meetings will be held in person at Lafayette City Hall, 1290 S. Public Road, Lafayette, CO 80026.
