Event Spaces

The Library has two community spaces that may be rented for a fee. 

All use is governed by the full Private Use of Space Policy and all Library policies for conduct, safety, and use of technology, viewable at lafayetteco.gov/LibraryPolicies.

Meeting Room 

$30/time slot; maximum $90
Capacity: 160

Conference Room

$20/time slot; maximum $60
Capacity: 12 seated, 36 standing

  1. Terms and Conditions

The Library will not discriminate in making its premises available for use based on disability, race, creed, color, sex, sexual orientation, gender, marital status, family status, religion, political affiliation, national origin, or ancestry.

Space users must comply with all Library conduct, safety, and technology policies, as well as the full Private Use of Space Policy and any guidelines or checklists provided online or during check-in. 

  • Users may have up to two active dates reserved at a time per space.
  • Spaces may not be booked on a regular weekly or monthly basis.
  • Book space up to 90 days in advance, for up to 12 dates per calendar year, per group.
  • Payment, and a use agreement signed at check-in, must be completed prior to use of the space.
  • Damage, misuse, or failure to vacate the space at the end of the time may result in additional fees.
  • Booking covers the room alone, not the hallways or other spaces inside or outside the Library. 
  • Signage outside of the room is prohibited without approval from the Library director.
  • Use of Library facilities does not constitute endorsement of the user or the activity by the Lafayette Public Library, its staff, the Library Board, or the City of Lafayette. Please include this statement on all digital and print promotional materials. 
    “This event is not sponsored or endorsed by the Lafayette Public Library or the City of Lafayette. For more information, please contact [insert your organization’s contact information]. Access to meeting rooms is a service of Lafayette Public Library.”
