Responsibilities
As the department responsible for managing these community lands, Parks, Recreation & Open Space oversees the maintenance and enhancements of:
- 20 parks
- 20 miles of trails
- Park shelter rentals
- Bob L. Burger Recreation Center
- Senior Services
- 506 acres of solely owned open space, and 1,134 acres of jointly owned open space
- Indian Peaks Golf Course
- Select streetscapes
- Two cemeteries
- One community garden
