Responsibilities

As the department responsible for managing these community lands, Parks, Recreation & Open Space oversees the maintenance and enhancements of:

• 20 parks
• 20 miles of trails
• Park shelter rentals
• Bob L. Burger Recreation Center
• Senior Services
• 506 acres of solely owned open space, and 1,134 acres of jointly owned open space
• Indian Peaks Golf Course
• Select streetscapes
• Two cemeteries
• One community garden
