Sunday, Sept. 24, noon-2pm | Waneka Lake 

Arts Outside & Cannon St. Ceramics are teaming up!  
Join us for an opportunity to create your own ceramic tiles (or magnets) using materials found by Waneka Lake (or your personal collection). 
We will walk around Waneka, forage for leaves and other materials, learning about the area as we go along, then we will meet at the studio to create compositions by pressing leaves and other textures into the soft clay.  Participants receive a pre-rolled slab of clay for pressing textures into and a variety of differently shaped and sized tile/cookie cutters for cutting out tiles (or magnets). There is a three to five tile maximum depending on shape and size. Participants will select glaze colors for each tile and be contacted when tiles are ready for pick-up.

Space is limited to 10 participants, registration required.

No prior pottery experience necessary. Participants only need a willingness to be curious, giggle a little bit, and have some fun!
