MLK March for Peace and Celebration

Come celebrate the life and work of Martin Luther King, Jr. during the City of Lafayette's 11th Annual March for Peace and Celebration! Community members are encouraged to meet at Festival Plaza (311 S. Public Road) by 11:35 a.m. for pre-march activities, including a performance by the Second Baptist Choir. Free event t-shirts will be distributed to the first 300 community members to arrive.
Young people are also encouraged to join the Kiva Center at the Starkey Building, which is adjacent to Festival Plaza, for art activities as part of its HeART in Action initiative prior to the march from 9:45 a.m. to 11:35 a.m. Children under the age of five must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Lafayette's 11th annual March for Peace, which will span from Festival Plaza to Centaurus High School, will commence promptly at noon. A celebration featuring free refreshments, service projects, and a keynote by Jonny 5 of the Flobots will follow at Centaurus High School (10300 S. Boulder R
