Join members of the community for the Grand Opening of the Nature Kids Discovery Zone on the grounds of Alicia Sanchez International Elementary School. The project, spearheaded by the City of Lafayette and a grant from Great Outdoors Colorado connects Lafayette children and their families to nature. This two-acre property has been developed to include nature components such as boulders, logs, climbing trees, wetland features and community gathering spaces all aimed at enhancing children's experience with the outdoors. Project partners, Thorne Nature Experience and BVSD have collaborated with the City of Lafayette to plan a community kick-off celebration. Enjoy tacos and popsicles, live music and DJ, face painting, fun arts & craft activities, games, $1,000 in giveaways, and more!
