[ARCHIVED] One Lafayette Program grants $42,000 to local non-profits

2013 One Lafayette recipients

Lafayette City Council has awarded $42,000 to 31 local nonprofit organizations who provide services and assistance for Lafayette residents. Funding is financed through the City’s general fund and distributed via the 18th annual “One Lafayette” Grant Program. The awards fell into two categories; Essential Community Resources and Special Projects.

The following 12 organizations were awarded a total of $25,000 Essential Community Resources funds: Boulder County Legal Services, Boulder County CareConnect, Clinica Campesina, Coal Creek Meals on Wheels, Flatirons Habitat for Humanity, Immigrant Legal Center of Boulder County, Intercambio Uniting Communities, Rocky Mountain Legal Services, Saint Benedict Health/Healing Ministry, Sister Carmen, Safehouse (SPAN), VIA

$16,965 was awarded to 19 Special Project Grant applicants. 37 non-profit organizations applied for funding.

One Lafayette’s mission is to assist local non-profits in the work they selflessly perform in Lafayette, enabling our community to be a better place to live.

Pam Spring, Human Resources Director and staff liaison for the program, had this to say about One Lafayette “This is a great thing that the City does for the nonprofit organizations in our community; they deserve our support. We are building a community with heart. ”

Anyone interested in helping to make a difference with a tax-deductable donation to the One Lafayette program can do so by sending a check to the address below. 100% of all donations will be dispersed to the community.
