[ARCHIVED] Waneka Lake water level monitoring to begin November 25

On Monday, November 25 equipment will be mobilized at Waneka Lake to drill boreholes and install ground water monitoring devices. Since the September floods, City engineers have observed that typical water level decreases are not occurring at the Lake and will look to these test results to help them understand why.

Drilling activity will begin on Monday, November 25 and is anticipated to be completed by Wednesday November 27. Noise levels similar to a diesel truck engine can be expected between the hours of 8am-6pm. Questions can be directed to the Lafayette Public Works at 303-665-5588 x3328.
