On February 24, 2014 the Lafayette Public Works Department was awarded a grant from the Colorado Water Conservation Board (CWCB) to replace pre-rinse spray valves (PRSVs) in approximately 60 restaurants, commercial kitchens, schools and similar establishments throughout the city. The City in partnership with the Center for ReSource Conservation (CRC), a local nonprofit, will be visiting eligible establishments at the end of March to replace PRSVs at no charge. These establishments can save water, money and energy by switching from standard PRSVs to high-efficiency PRSVs.
