Historic Preservation Board Openings
The Historic Preservation Board invites you to become a member of their team. The Board is looking to fill two positions. a regular member position and an alternate position.

Historic Preservation meets on the first Monday of each month, from 6:30-8:30 pm. Members serve four-year terms. The Board reviews and refers nominations for historic landmark designation to the City Council and promotes historic preservation through a variety of programs. Candidates should have a genuine interest in the history of Lafayette and professional or personal experience in one more of the following areas: architecture, history, historic preservation, archeology, planning, anthropology, building trades, real estate or law; however lack of professional experience should NOT deter citizens from applying.

Additional Requirements: Interested citizens must be registered voters, must have resided in Lafayette for one (1) full year, must fill out the Historic Preservation Board Application, and submit a resume. The applications are available below and at the Community Development Department at City Hall, 1290 S. Public Road.
