[ARCHIVED] Help with Peach Fest Zero Waste activities

Zero waste volunteer

We are proud and excited that this popular festival is a zero waste event, but need your help to maintain that standing. The Lafayette Waste Reduction Advisory Committee (LWRAC) is looking for volunteers during two shifts to help at the Lafayette Peach Festival on Saturday, August 16 from 9-11:30am and 11am-1:30pm. Hours are flexible.

All volunteers will receive a free peach smoothie and if you volunteer for 4 or more hours you will also receive a $5.00 food certificate to spend at the festival.

Are you passionate about making change on a large scale? Do you like engaging with the community, being outside, and going to fun community events? If so, you belong on our Zero Waste Event Team! As part of Eco-Cycle’s Zero Waste Event Team, volunteers will work in twos to monitor Zero Waste Stations and answer recycling and composting questions from event-goers. Before the event, you will receive training with everything you need to know to be our experts “in the field”.

Sign up to volunteer to be a Zero Waste station monitor at www.ecocycle.org/take-action/volunteer, 303-444-6634 x123, volunteer@ecocycle.org. Be sure to include the shift(s) that will work for you. We will contact you prior to the event.

If you know of an organization that might be able to help out please forward this information to them or pass their information onto us.

Volunteer coordinators are:
Laura Estle, Lafayette Waste Reduction Advisory Committee (LWRAC)
Anna Perks, Zero Waste Field Organizer and Event Coordinator, Eco-Cycle, Inc. Boulder
