The City of Lafayette has earned the 2014 Gold Medal Award for Excellence in Park and Recreation Management by the National Recreation and Parks Association. This award positions Lafayette as the best of the best nationwide for populations less than 30,000.
The "Gold Medal" is a testament to the amenities which bring Lafayette residents a higher quality of life, safer places to play, and healthy alternatives.
On Saturday, October 25 Lafayette residents will receive free admission all day to the Bob L. Burger Recreation Center to celebrate this prestigious award.
