[ARCHIVED] Lafayette announces the 2014 Green Business Awards winners

LESAC

Eight Lafayette businesses were presented with awards at the October 21 City Council meeting to recognize their efforts towards becoming more sustainable. The City of Lafayette Energy Sustainability Advisory Committee (LESAC) established the Lafayette Green Business Program in 2011 to recognize local businesses making steps to positively impact Lafayette's environmental footprint. To qualify, businesses meet requirements in 6 categories; energy, zero waste, water, transportation, community, and health and wellness. This program is a collaborative effort of LESAC, the Lafayette Waste Reduction Advisory Committee, and the 2014 sponsor, Xcel Energy.
