Just sign up to volunteer at the Lafayette Peach Festival on Saturday, August 15, 2015!
We’re excited that this year’s festival will continue to be a Zero Waste Event, but we need your help!
The following volunteer shifts are available until filled:
9:00 - 11:30 a.m.
11:00 - 1:30 p.m.
1:00 - 3:30 p.m.
(Hours are flexible!)
All volunteers will receive a free peach smoothie certificate and if you volunteer for 4 or more hours you will receive a $5 food certificate to spend at the festival!
Are you passionate about making community-wide change?
Do you like engaging with the community, being outside and going to fun local events?
If so, you belong on our Zero Waste Event Team! As part of Eco-Cycle’s Zero Waste Event Team, volunteers will team up to monitor Zero Waste Stations and answer recycling and composting questions from event-goers. Before the event, you'll receive a recycling/composting 101 training from Eco-Cycle staff with everything you need to know about Zero Waste.
Last year we diverted 95% of all festival discards from the landfill… With your help, we hope to make that number even greater!

Sign up to volunteer as a Zero Waste Station "Goalie" during one of our fun events! —
call Cyrus at (303) 444-6634 ext. 127 or email cyrus@ecocycle.org. Be sure to include the shift(s) that will work for you.
We recommend bringing along a water bottle, hat, sunscreen and a friend to help!
If you’re aware of any organization(s) that may be willing to help out, please forward this message to them or pass their information to us.
Once you’ve signed up we’ll send more info your way closer to the event date. WRAC and Eco-Cycle will share a booth, which will also serve as a check-in hub for volunteers.
Thanks so much,
Laura Estle (WRAC) and Cyrus Mastin (Eco-Cycle)
