[ARCHIVED] Gas line replacement in Old Town alleyways

Beginning Tuesday, September 8, Xcel Energy will be replacing a 6-inch gas line in the alley north of Emma and south of Chester, between Roosevelt and Gough. The new line will provide improved reliability and maintain a safe distribution system. This unexpected project will work in stages and progress first west to east - beginning at Roosevelt, and ending at Gough; then work back again east to west – from Gough to Roosevelt. This proposed sequence of operation may change.

Work hours will typically run Mon-Fri 8:00am-5:30pm. Some weekend work may occur, and nightly activity may extend as late as 6:30pm. The project is estimated to continue through the end of October, and may periodically block driveway and alley access for businesses and residents. Weather and other factors may alter these schedules.

Follow the link below to download additional details from Q3 Contracting, Xcel Energy’s project contractor. Questions about the project can be directed to Q3’s 24/7 contact telephone number (720) 355-0729.

Because of construction activity in these alleyways, Republic Waste Services will perform waste pick up from the FRONT of homes along 100-210 Emma (north side only of Emma) and 110-210 Chester (south side only of Chester) from September 8 through October 31, 2015. Please place your trash, recycling, and compost bins on the curb in FRONT of your house on pick-up days for THIS ENTIRE TIME PERIOD, even if construction activity isn’t occurring in your immediate area. Additional questions regarding trash pick up can be directed to Republic Services at (303) 286-1200.
