The City of Lafayette is seeking residents interested in serving on the Volunteer Firefighters Pension Board. The Volunteer Firefighters Pension Board has two openings.
Requirements
Citizens interested in being appointed to the Volunteer Firefighters Pension Board must be a registered voter who has resided in Lafayette for one full year. Submit a letter of interest addressed to the Mayor and City Council, along with your completed application, to the Finance Department by 3:00pm on Tuesday, November 17, 2015.

The board meets one time per year and has special meetings when necessary. Members are involved in the evaluation and decision making process relating to issues that affect the City’s Volunteer Firefighters Pension program. They are responsible for the management, administration, use, and disbursement of pension funds, as well as the supervision and preservation of the pension funds. The Board will advise City Council when necessary. The term limit for this position is four years.
