[ARCHIVED] New Crime Mapping Software

Crime Mapping

The Lafayette Police Department takes a progressive approach in being transparent in our community by making crime data available to the public. In addition to posting information on our website and through social media, the department is now also using www.crimemapping.com to provide current crime data in Lafayette. Wherever you have internet access, you can map out and analyze recent crime activity in your neighborhood.

Search by city or specific address to find the latest information, which is displayed on a map using symbols to indicate different types of crimes, or search by crime types, date ranges, or a geographic buffer. You can generate reports and subscribe to receive automatic e-mail notifications!

Community Oriented Policing is a philosophy of the Lafayette Police Department. Keeping you informed of local crime information helps us work alongside our community and is effective in reducing crime.

We have installed a link to this crime map on our website under Crime Statistics. We encourage you to visit the site and sign up for notifications!
