[ARCHIVED] Senior Crafters Requesting Yarn Donations

The Lafayette Senior Center hosts several crafter groups and they are running low on yarn. These groups, which include the Whatever's, Lap Robe group and Crafters for Charity, create a variety of items that they donate to a variety of local entities. Lap robes go to VA Hospital patients and residents of Senior Care Centers. Whatever's delivered hats to each Lafayette Elementary School (200 hats total), Operation Headstart, and to Precious Child.  People who are homeless receive shawls, scarves, hats and mittens. Red scarves are made for children in foster care. Your generous donations of yarn will greatly contribute to these gifts to the community from these benevolent senior artisans. Please call 303-665-9052 or stop by 103 S. Iowa Ave. to donate your unused yarn.
