[ARCHIVED] Open fire ban issued for Lafayette

The Lafayette Fire Department has declared an open fire ban within Lafayette city limits to broaden the existing Red Flag Fire Warning issued by the National Weather Service in Boulder. Due to the current high danger of grass fires, fireworks, open burning, and open fire pits are prohibited in Lafayette until further notice. Covered barbeque grills, chimeneas, and covered residential fire pits operated on concrete are allowed.
