How do we maintain the character of our Old Town residential neighborhoods?
Based on the input we received from over 400 residents during our first round of outreach, the City of Lafayette has developed a preliminary set of recommended changes to the City’s zoning code that will help protect what residents feel is most unique and special about Old Town’s residential neighborhoods.
THE CITY OF LAFAYETTE IS SEEKING YOUR INPUT ON THESE PRELIMINARY RECOMMENDATIONS. PLEASE JOIN US AT ONE OF TWO COMMUNITY WORKSHOPS IN APRIL TO SHARE YOUR FEEDBACK.
During our second set of community workshops, we will be presenting recommendations for zoning code updates in Old Town residential neighborhoods, along with drawings illustrating how these updates would affect new development, additions, and the construction of ADUs in Old Town. Workshop participants will be able to:
• Review the recommended code updates and accompanying illustrations;
• Ask questions of the project team; and
• Provide input on the recommended updates or suggest additional changes.
