The Lafayette Historic Preservation Board has offered grants to help defray the cost of maintenance, repairs and restoration of historic buildings.  These grants are typically $500 to $1,000.  To be eligible, buildings must be at least 50 years old and within Lafayette city limits, and improvement projects must meet various criteria.    View the Historic Building Improvement Grants Summary for more information and to see examples of projects from past years that received grants.  Download the Historic Building Improvement Grant Application.
