Following a brief evacuation due to an electrical malfunction initiating at a microwave in the break room at the Recreation Center, the Recreation Center will reopen at 2:30 p.m. today. The odor caused by the electrical malfunction travelled through the Recreation Center's HVAC system to other areas of the building, which prompted the evacuation.
There is no impact on the use of the Recreation center this afternoon, but patrons may notice a lingering smell in the lobby area.
