This Art Night Out, the last of the summer series in Old Town Lafayette, will prove to be an exciting night. Make Lafayette your Friday night destination! A wide variety of Public Road businesses and restaurants participate in Art Night Out through special offerings, art demonstrations, and displays. The events begin on Friday, September 21 at 4 p.m. with family activities and music at the plaza. Bruiser the Dog, balloon twisters, face painters and a magician will be available free for children’s entertainment. Food trucks open at 4 p.m. The beer garden opens at 5 p.m. Enjoy a dinner at one of many Old Town restaurants, shop the specials at local boutiques and galleries, and view art at various Public Road venues before returning to the Plaza for music by Sharon Glassman at 6:30 and Girls on Top at 7:30.
Art & Music! There are four live music locations throughout the evening. Seven venues will have original art on display. Many artists’ booths will be selling fabulous handmade arts and crafts at Festival Plaza.
Get in on the Food Truck craze! Two fabulous food trucks will offer fun street fare in the Beer Garden at Festival Plaza. Biker Jim’s “Doglorean” will be serving up great gourmet hotdogs and sausages. Biker Jim’s has been featured on Food Network’s Best Thing I Ever Ate and Anthony Bourdean’s No Reservations. His gourmet creations are sure to please! Oskar Blues Bonewagon will dish tasty BBQ, burgers and crab cakes. Enjoy a Lefthand Beer from the ARTS!Lafayette beer garden along with your dinner.
