As of Sunday evening, July 23, the water line construction project on Baseline Road between Applewood and Elgin is complete and the road is now open to through traffic. Thank you for your patience.

Baseline Road, at the BNSF railroad tracks between Applewood Drive and Elgin Drive, will be closed from July 15 through July 31, 2017.
No vehicle, pedestrian, or bicycle traffic will be allowed during this time. Applewood Drive will be accessible from the east, and Elgin Drive will be accessible from the west for residents living on those streets.
This closure will allow the construction of a new water transmission line, resulting in improved pressure, water flows, and redundancy within the City’s water distribution system. Crews will be working onsite from 6:00am until dusk, seven days a week.
Traffic will be detoured to Arapahoe Road and/or South Boulder Road at 75th or 95th Streets throughout the duration of this construction project. Please refer to the detour map below. Questions may be directed to Public Works at 303-661-1277 or saraho@cityoflafayette.com
