The Historic Preservation Board invites you to become a member of their team. The Board reviews and refers nominations for historic landmark designation to City Council, promotes historic preservation through various programs, and has fun as a team.
The Historic Preservation Board meets the first Monday of each month from 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm in the Starkey Building. Candidates should have a genuine interest in the history of Lafayette and professional or personal experience in one or more of the following areas: architecture, history, historic preservation, archeology, planning, anthropology, building trades, real estate or law, however lack of professional experience should NOT deter citizes from applying for the vacancies. Other requirements include: be a registered voter, lived in Lafayette for one year, and complete an application and include a resume. (Applications are also available at the Community Development Department at City Hall).
