New this year! Have the little ones participate in our first Grandparents Day Portrait Contest! Participation is FREE and suitable for all ages.
Draw a portrait of Grandma or Grandpa through your own artistic eyes - these make a great gift and are a wonderful keepsake for both grandparent and child. Age groups will be 5-7, 8-10 & 11 and up. Drawings are due on 9/10 or before at the Recreation Center. Participation is FREE and pre-registration is not required. Please include the artists name, age, and parent contact info on the back of your portrait when you submit your artwork.
Create your portrait on your own time, or visit the Senior Center on September 8th with Grandma or Grandpa and have them sit for your portrait during Fun Friday Senior Events. Fun Friday is FREE, but we ask that seniors do let us know they are coming. Grandma or Grandpa can register by calling the Senior Center at 303-661-1491.
Bring your grandparents with you to turn in your masterpiece and enjoy a Grandparents BOGO admission on 9/10! Grandparents admission are free with the paid admission of a child or grandchild in celebration of Grandparents Day.
Artwork will be displayed at the Senior Center during the Annual Senior Artist showcase (9/11 through 9/22, voting available during operating hours), and ballots will be cast to determine the winner in each age group.
