The Lafayette Public Library will be closed Labor Day weekend, September 2-4. During this time, the library's server will be migrated to a new location. Because this project will cause disruptions to a number of services provided, the facility will be closed during these dates.
In addition to the facility closure, patrons will have limited access to online services;
- Details of items currently checked out will not be available
- The library catalog will be offline and not updated, and will not accurately reflect items on the shelf
- Online databases (including Overdrive downloadable library) will not be available.
During the facility closure, staff will also be taking advantage of this time to perform maintenance projects that would otherwise cause an inconvenience to building patrons.
Full service should resume on Tuesday, September 5.
