In partnership with the Urban Drainage and Flood control District (UDFCD), the City of Lafayette will begin work on the construction of a drainage culvert north of the Police Department on 111th Street. This project will also include widening of 111th Street along the constructions area.
Work began in September 2017 and is expected to continue through late Spring 2018. Periodic traffic delays may occur during this time.
UPDATE 9/25/17 - 111th Street Closure to Through Traffic – 10/9/2017 to 10/13/2017
A portion of 111th Street, north of the Lafayette Police Station, will be closed to through traffic October 9-13, 2017. Access to the Police and Fire Stations will be available from Baseline Rd., while access to Beacon Hill Dr., Lucerne Dr., Cabrini Dr. and Starlight Ave. will be available from Arapahoe Rd.
The closure will begin the morning of Monday, October 9, and run through end of the work day on Friday, October 13. The closure is needed for deep utility installation associated with construction of a culvert crossing across 111th (just north of the Police Station) and road widening.
