A portion of 111th St., north of the Lafayette Police Station, will be closed to through traffic October 9-13, 2017. (Due to weather, the original closure date of October 2-6 has been pushed back one week.)
- Access to the Police and Fire Stations will be available from Baseline Rd.
- Access to Beacon Hill Dr., Lucerne Dr., Cabrini Dr., and Starlight Ave. will be available from Arapahoe Rd.
The closure will begin the morning of Monday, October 9, and run through end of the work day on Friday, October 13. This closure is needed for deep utility installation work associated with the construction of a culvert crossing and road widening.
Background:
In partnership with the Urban Drainage and Flood control District (UDFCD), the City of Lafayette began work in September 2017 on the construction of a drainage culvert north of the Police Department on 111th St. This project will also include widening of 111th St. along the constructions area. Work is expected to continue through late Spring 2018. Periodic traffic delays may occur during this time.
