Lafayette Police Department is committed to the legal, moral and ethical policing of our community. Feedback from the citizens we contact on a daily basis is vitally important to us. Without feedback, both positive and negative, we cannot accurately evaluate how the community feels about our performance. Any report of improper behavior by our officers will be thoroughly investigated and impartially adjudicated. Issues of minor misconduct may be investigated by the officer’s supervisor. Issues of serious misconduct or possible criminal activity will be investigated by a highly trained Internal Affairs Investigator. It is equally important to us that we recognize the positive efforts our officers put in each day. In order to reward positive actions by our officers we need to know about them. There are a few ways we encourage your feedback: Call us directly at 303-665-5571, contact us via email using the “Contact Us” link on our website, www.cityoflafayette.com/police, or use our comment form located in our lobby and on our website under Professional Standards. Our comment form is set up to submit a compliment, complaint or suggestion. Let us know when we have done a good job! Let us know when we haven’t! All officer complaints will be thoroughly investigated! Let us know if you have a service improvement suggestion!
