[ARCHIVED] Election ballots mailing the week of October 16

ballot track_2017

Elections in Colorado are conducted by mail with Voter Service and Polling Centers available for those who would like additional assistance with voting or who prefer to vote in person. All active registered voters will be automatically mailed a ballot to the address on their voter registration record the week of October 16.

The mailed ballot packets include a detailed list of ballot drop-off locations including many 24-hour ballot drop-boxes available throughout Boulder County. The mail ballot packet also includes a list of Voter Service and Polling Centers that will be open to the public.

Whether voting by mail or voting in-person, voters are encouraged to complete their ballot as soon as they have decided how they are going to vote. Voting early helps reduce political campaign phone calls for the public and assists the county in being able to process ballots throughout the election period, not on one single night.

The Elections Division can let you know when your ballot has been printed, mailed, and received at the Ballot Processing Center through the Ballot Track system. Sign-up to receive text, email, or phone alerts with Boulder County Votes Ballot Track at: https://boulder.ballottrax.net.

For those who have not yet registered, Colorado does not have a registration deadline. Eligible voters may register up to, and on, Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 7 (22-day residency required). However, Monday, Oct. 30 is the last day to register and still be mailed a ballot. After Oct. 30, voters may still register, but they must visit a Voter Service and Polling Center in order to request a ballot.
