Thank you to the Lafayette EV drivers who tried the new charging station at the Lafayette Public Library. To continue to build out the city’s EV charging infrastructure, starting November 1, there will be a low "eGallon" price to use this charging station. Charging will now reflect the real-time price of electricity and will be lower than the cost of gasoline. Twenty five percent of the energy provided at the station from the utility is powered by renewable sources.
To use the station, you’ll need a ChargePoint account. If you don’t have one, download the ChargePoint app from the App Store or Google Play and sign up in the app, or create an account at ChargePoint.com.
EVs provide cleaner and more affordable transportation options for residents and visitors using city services. EV charging stations are another step toward electrification of vehicles that will help us meet city-wide sustainability goals.
