How to apply:
Call Morgan Curry at 303-661-1462, or e-mail at morgan.curry@cityoflafayette.com to be enrolled in a training class. Classes will be held once the class minimum is met, with new classes forming throughout the year. Give Morgan a call to get on the list for the next available class. A $35.00 fee is required (normally $170!!!) and is paid at the time of application. Applicants must pass the class to be eligible to work for the City of Lafayette. After that, a quick application for the lifeguard job at www.cityoflafayette.com/jobs and you are looking at a summer of cold-hard-cash.

Pre-requisites: 15 years of age by the end of the class, swim 300 yards utilizing front crawl and breaststroke and swim 20 yards, surface dive to 10 feet of water to retrieve a 10-pound brick from bottom of pool, return to the surface and swim 20 yards back to the starting point with the brick.
You must attend every class to receive an American Red Cross Certification.
