Eco-Cycle is excited to team up with the Lafayette Chamber to go for Zero Waste at the 19th Annual Lafayette Peach Festival on August 18 from 9am-4pm (Rain or Shine).
In 2017, our team effort with over 30 volunteers accomplished a 85% diversion rate - this year, our success hinges on volunteers like YOU to divert even more waste from the landfill!
Volunteering at a Zero Waste Event is fun and easy. You'll work as a Zero Waste Station "Goalie," making sure event-goers put their waste in the right place. You'll also help out with setting up or breaking down zero waste stations. This is a great opportunity to educate the public about Zero Waste, while attending a fun event! Volunteers will be asked to commit to at least one 2.5-hour shift. Longer shifts are always optional!
There are three shifts available: 9:00-11:30, 11:30-2:00pm, 2:00-4:30pm* (the last shift includes the all-important clean up!).
As a volunteer, you'll receive a $5 food voucher and FREE peach smoothie for every 2.5 hour shift you work!
