RTD has announced that its shortage of bus and rail operators is impacting their ability to provide riders with the reliable service you deserve. This situation is also requiring many of RTD's operators to work six-day work weeks which affects everyone, from the people they serve, to the people who provide the service.
To better balance staffing with a level of reliable service, RTD is considering a potential temporary service reduction in response to an ongoing labor shortage, and issues with recruiting and retaining bus and light rail operators.
Before any decisions can be made, RTD is seeking input from the communities they serve, and want to hear from you. Through Nov. 17, there are a number of opportunities to provide your thoughts about the current level of service and the possibility of a temporary service reduction:
- By attending a telephone town hall meeting with RTD GM and CEO Dave Genova, Nov. 6, 6:30 p.m.
- By completing a short survey from RTD staff at select bus and light rail stations on Nov. 11, 12, 13 and 14
- By completing the survey online by 11:59 p.m., Nov. 17.
- By submitting a comment through RTD’s social media platforms
In addition to providing your feedback, RTD asks that you help spread the word. They would like to have feedback from as many people as possible, so please help them by sending this out to your network and posting information on your social media platforms (you can link to their page at www.rtd-denver.com).
Your voice matters so please share your thoughts with RTD.
