[ARCHIVED] Wilson Community Garden - Renovation Underway

Construction is underway at Wilson Community Garden!  On January 21st, City Council approved a contract with Arrow J Landscape & Design to renovate the community garden.  This renovation will result in a fresh, new look that will include new garden plots, ADA accessible raised beds, pathways, and improvements to the irrigation system that delivers water to the plots.  Gardeners will receive the benefit of individualized plots with concrete borders and amended soils perfect for raising vegetables and plants to their liking.  Wide pathways will guide gardeners through the site improving access to their gardening beds and pump house.  Construction will take place from January through late April.  Weather permitting, the new and improved community garden will be ready in-time for Spring seeding and planting.

Credited with the design are landscape architects, Kurt Munding of Munding Design, LLC & Christie Scneider of Wildrye Design, LLC, both from Lafayette.  For more information about the project, please contact the Parks, Recreation & Open Space Dept at 303-661-1306.
