On Tuesday, June 1 Lafayette City Council issued a proclamation in honor and support of Pride Month in June 2020 to encourage Lafayette residents to join together to celebrate and honor the history, diversity, and the resilience of LGBTQ communities.
The proclamation acknowledges that despite staying apart from each other to address the COVID-19 pandemic, we remain strong as a community, working towards a better future for all. Read the full proclamation here:
The City of Lafayette and City partner Out Boulder County, raised Pride flags at all City facilities that will be flown until June 30. In addition, the City of Lafayette’s police department placed Pride stickers on all City squad cars to further demonstrate the City’s commitment to ensuring the City of Lafayette is welcoming to all; regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, race or ethnicity.
