Lafayette City Council reaffirms Resolution No. 2016-96 & signs My Brother’s Keeper Alliance pledge

On Tuesday, July 7, the Lafayette City Council issued a proclamation reaffirming Resolution No. 2016-96 and Lafayette‘s commitment to build a diverse, inclusive, and just community ensuring equal protection and services for all residents. In addition, City Council agreed to sign the My Brother’s Keeper Alliance Mayor’s pledge, honoring work that has been done by the City - including a pool naming, land acknowledgement, and the creation of a Human Rights Commission - and also recognizing the further need to demonstrate action toward change.
