CARES Grant City News

Lafayette Artists and Arts organizations receive federal grants

The Lafayette Arts & Cultural Resources Department (ACRD) was one of 855 organizations to receive CARES funding from the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) in 2020. The City was awarded $270,590 in CARES funding, intended to provide support for jobs and non-profit organizations that can help ensure arts and culture will persevere as a significant contributor to the American economy beyond the COVID-19 pandemic. Local artists and arts organizations applied for funds in January. Recipients of funding met a high level of artistic excellence and merit. They are 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations, and individual artists. Money will be distributed this spring.

We congratulate all the grant recipients!
