Trails, open space and parks in Lafayette are great places to enjoy in the company of our four-legged friends, but there are a couple of points to remember in order to ensure that the experience is pleasant for everyone.
First, leashed dogs are not likely to chase wildlife, jump on people, trip up runners, or get into altercations with other dogs - plus, it's the law!
Second, there is the matter of dog poop. There are bags at the major trailheads. Remember to always pick up after your pet. If you want to leave the bag by the side of the trail until the return journey, please don’t forget it.
Let’s make sure using public trails, open space, and parks a pleasant experience for everyone!
