Artist Statement

An artist sees the world just a little bit differently, and their practice is to translate their vision to the world, unabashed and unashamed.

My name is Jodie Bliss. I am the owner of Bliss Studio Custom Metalwork in Monument, Colorado and am a practicing artist, blacksmith, and metal fabricator. I have been working in metal for over 19 years and create everything from custom architectural ironworks and private and fine art commissions to large scale public sculptures for municipalities. Early in my career my work focused on self, the individual and human psychology, which has evolved throughout the years into a practice that focuses on community and culture.
