[ARCHIVED] Maintaining visibility at intersections

Stop sign covered by branches

To help protect pedestrians, bicyclists, and vehicles in our neighborhoods, an unobstructed line of sight at residential intersections is necessary to maintain safety. As we enter the growing season, it’s important for residents to be aware of their responsibility to maintain vegetation in intersection rights-of-way adjacent to your property. Bushes, grasses, or other plants cannot be over three feet tall unless they are trees, and tree branches below seven feet in height should be trimmed or removed. Detailed information can be found at Lafayetteco.gov/PublicWorks

Thank you for keeping Lafayette safe for all.
