Residents are invited to the free Gas-Powered Mower and Leaf Blower Take Back event on Saturday, May 14, from 9am-12:30pm at Ascent Church in Louisville, 550 McCaslin Blvd. You will receive a $150 voucher for an electric lawn mower by recycling your gas-powered mower and/or a $50 voucher for an electric leaf blower by recycling your gas-powered leaf blower.
Gas-powered lawn mowers and lawn equipment emit greenhouse gases and contribute to ground-level ozone pollution in the metro Denver and North Front Range area. By switching to an electric lawn mower, you can make a positive impact on our air quality and our health.
Bring your gas-powered lawn mower and/or leaf blower and receive vouchers for electric equipment. The vouchers can be used at any Ace Hardware in the Front Range area or Lowes in Louisville. Please note that there is no need to remove the remaining oil or gas before the event. This event is in partnership with the Regional Air Quality Council, City of Louisville, and Town of Superior.
A limited number of vouchers are available. Registration is required to reserve your voucher by completing the Regional Air Quality Council Mow Down Pollution Program form.
