The purpose of the Land Use Code Working Group is to monitor and provide input to staff on draft code language and community engagement strategies. The group will identify and weigh in on policy issues for the benefit of subsequent Planning Commission and City Council discussions. The Working Group will include the Lafayette Planning Commission, representatives of City boards, and the community members selected through this process. Deliberations and decisions on policy issues are reserved for the full City Council.
Working group members will be expected to:
- Attend all regular meetings. The Working Group will meet at 6 pm on the second Wednesday of the month. Meetings will be scheduled when there is material to review, which may be every 1 – 3 months. The group may call special meetings as needed. Meetings will be open to the public and recordings of each meeting will be posted to the project webpage.
- Review materials prior to working group meetings.
- Engage in a respectful, constructive dialogue with other members of the group, the consultants, City staff, and others in the Lafayette community.
The initial application period is open through March 10, 2023
